The Ohio Nuclear Development Authority (ONDA) is Ohio’s statewide agency charged with developing and promoting nuclear energy and advanced manufacturing as part of the state’s economic and industrial growth strategy.

We were established under Ohio Revised Code 4164 in 2023 to bring together public agencies, private industry, research institutions, and investors in one purpose:

To make Ohio the nation’s leader in advanced nuclear technology and the industries that depend on it.

From the industrial shores of Lorain to the research corridors of Cleveland and Sandusky, to the Uranium Enrichment Facilities in Piketon, ONDA’s mission reaches across Ohio — strengthening national energy security, rebuilding our manufacturing base, and ensuring the next generation of American innovation is made in Ohio.
